Kuwait players gear up for the championship.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: The draw for the 24th Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship will take place today in Amman as the participating teams step up preparations for the tournament, which runs from October 4 to 14 at the Arena Hall in Al Hussein Youth City.

The championship will be played in a single round-robin format. Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Algeria are among the teams confirmed to participate, while reports have emerged that Egypt, Tunisia, and Palestine have withdrawn. The final list is expected to be confirmed by the organizers ahead of the technical meeting.

Kuwait’s national team will be aiming for a strong campaign after completing a productive training camp in Cairo.

The Blues left Cairo for Amman after playing five friendly matches during the camp as part of their preparations for the Arab Championship.

Argentine coach Julian Alvarez and national assistant Zaid Al-Kadhmi used the camp to raise the players’ fitness levels and work on their tactical and technical preparations. They also focused on developing understanding between the experienced players and younger members of the squad.

Kuwait will be looking to build on that preparation and make the most of the strong Arab competition in Amman.
