Arab Times hosts UK envoy in landmark visit

KUWAIT CITY, May 5: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor in Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers, Ahmed Al- Jarallah, warmly welcomed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kuwait Qudsi Rasheed at his office on Tuesday. Media and Communications Officer at the British Embassy Yara El Sabbagh accompanied the Ambassador. During the meeting, Al-Jarallah lauded the long-standing relations between Kuwait and the United Kingdom, particularly the strong partnership that has defined these relations for decades.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Rasheed thanked his host for the hospitable reception and acknowledged the significant influence of the Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers in the media landscape. He also affirmed that the British Embassy remains committed to enhancing collaboration with the Kuwaiti press in a way that serves the interests of both nations. Towards the end of the visit, Ambassador Rasheed looked at several historical photographs displayed in the office of Al-Jarallah. These photos, some dating back more than 50 years, chronicle his interviews with various international and Arab leaders, leaving a lasting impression on the visiting diplomat. Managing Editor of the Arab Times Marlon Aquino Malinao was also present at the meeting.
