Arab Juveniles Among Three Arrested for Robbing Asian Expats in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: The Farwaniya Governorate Investigation and Research Department, in coordination with the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Investigations Department, successfully arrested a three-member Arab gang accused of carrying out multiple robberies targeting expatriates in the Jleeb area.

According to a security source, the gang consisted of two juveniles and one adult, all of whom confessed to committing at least three robberies against Asian expatriates.

The arrests came after a noticeable spike in thefts and muggings reported in the Jleeb area, particularly involving expatriate victims. In response, detectives intensified patrols and launched a focused investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

Acting on confidential intelligence, investigators learned that a group of three Arab expatriates was behind the string of robberies in various locations across Farwaniya Governorate. Within just 24 hours of surveillance, officers managed to locate the suspects. A well-coordinated ambush was then set up, leading to their arrest in the act while attempting another robbery.

During interrogation, the suspects admitted that their method involved following victims through side streets and alleys, where they would ambush them, assault them physically, and steal their cash, wallets, and mobile phones before fleeing the scene.

The detectives recovered stolen items in their possession at the time of arrest. The gang members and the seized materials were referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.

Security authorities reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining order in Jleeb and warned that intensified patrols and surveillance will continue to deter such crimes in the governorate.
