KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: The Jleeb Investigations Unit arrested an Arab expatriate accused of stealing kitchen appliances and household items from homes in the Jleeb area and selling them at low prices
According to a security source, the suspect confessed to stealing washing machines, ovens, refrigerators and various kitchenware. The stolen items were allegedly loaded onto a pickup truck and handed over to Asian expatriates, who sold them as used appliances at the Friday Market in return for a percentage of the proceeds.
The suspect was arrested at an apartment in Farwaniya and reportedly led investigators to a warehouse, where a quantity of stolen appliances allegedly prepared for sale was found. During questioning, he also reportedly admitted to transporting the stolen goods in a pickup truck and confessed to carrying out more than 15 burglaries.
The suspect was referred to the investigating authorities to establish the full circumstances of the case and complete the necessary legal procedures.
