KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: A marble installation project at a citizen’s home in Ahmadi Governorate has turned into a fraud and deception case after an Arab expatriate allegedly stopped work despite receiving KD3,000 from the homeowner.

The Kuwaiti citizen said the man presented himself as an expert in marble work and agreed to complete the project for KD3,300. The homeowner initially transferred KD2,000, followed by another KD1,000, and received an invoice showing the payments and the remaining balance.

However, the complainant said the accused subsequently stopped work and failed to complete the project despite receiving most of the agreed amount. The citizen submitted documents and proof of the bank transfers to the security authorities, who registered the case as fraud and deception and referred it to the competent authorities for further investigation and to hear the accused’s statement.
