KUWAIT, April 12: Kuwait Airport Customs at Terminal 5 has successfully prevented the smuggling of hashish and a significant amount of psychotropic substances by two passengers attempting to enter the country.

According to details released by the customs officials, a customs inspector became suspicious of an Arab expatriate upon his arrival in the country and subjected his bags to inspection, ultimately discovering a piece of hashish hidden in the his personal bag.

In a separate incident, another inspector found 2,400 psychotropic pills in the possession of a Gulf passenger who arrived in the country, concealed within his personal bag. The suspects and seized items have been handed over to the competent authorities for further legal action.

The Director of the Airports Department, Osama Al-Shami, praised the heroic efforts of the customs officers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining security and safety in the country, and thanking all airport workers for their tireless efforts.
