Aquapark auctioned

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 17: The Touristic Enterprises Company issued a statement concerning the news item circulated on social media about the site of the Aquapark, saying it auctioned the site after the previous contract expired. Al-Jazeera Entertainment Projects, the previous operator, won the bid on its proposal that included radical developments into the project, reports Al-Anba daily.

In its statement, the company added that this matter requires preparation of new plans, obtaining the necessary license, and taking the approvals of concerned authorities before implementation.

The approvals are from Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, which has been suspended due to the emergent Coronavirus pandemic and the accompanying curfew decisions that led to the suspension of operations, noting the winning company with which a contract was signed on December 9, 2019, is committed to rapidly developing the site at the end of this pandemic.
