WASHINGTON, July 11: The Pentagon has released a new collection of videos, documents, images and audio recordings related to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), including footage and military reports describing unexplained aerial objects observed over the United States, the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific and the Middle East.
The release includes 40 files—14 documents, 19 videos, four audio recordings and three images—compiled from the Pentagon, NASA, the CIA, the FBI and the Department of Energy. The materials were published on the Pentagon's official UAP website under an executive order signed by President Donald Trump requiring the public release of such records.
Among the newly disclosed reports is a 2019 account by a military aviator who said an unidentified object displayed flight characteristics "unlike anything" witnessed during nearly three decades of service. The pilot reported the object moved at extraordinary speed before disappearing from view, with post-flight analysis suggesting it had a rectangular shape.
Another report details a September 2015 incident over the Pantex nuclear weapons facility in Texas, where security personnel observed a silent unidentified object hovering over restricted airspace before it departed the area. Officials said the object showed no visible propulsion system.
The latest release adds to previous disclosures of unexplained aerial encounters, although US authorities have not concluded that the incidents involve extraterrestrial technology. Investigations into many of the reported sightings remain ongoing.
