Amir patronizes and attends the final match of the Cup

KUWAIT CITY, May 20, (Agencies): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will patronize and attend Tuesday’s final of the 2023-24 seasons Amir Football Cup. The match, featuring Al-Qadsia Sports Club against Al-Salmiya, is scheduled to begin at 7:15 pm local time at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.

The Amir Cup has been held 61 times before this season. Kuwait SC, Al-Qadsia, and Al-Arabi have won the title 16 times, Kazma has won it 8 times, Al-Salmiya and Yarmouk have won it twice, and Al-Fahaheel has won it once.

In another development, Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Hewaila, Minister of Social Affairs, Labour, Family, and Childhood Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, received a detailed briefing from Abdullah Al-Shaheen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Football Association.

The briefing covered the Federation’s latest preparations for the final match of the His Highness the Amir Cup, may Allah protect him. The meeting took place at the Federation’s headquarters at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. It included the presence of Acting Director General of the General Sports Authority, Faisal Al-Yateem, along with Federation Board members Dr. Mansour Pasha, Fatima Hayat, Jamal Al-Otaibi, Abdulaziz Al-Samhan, and Federation Secretary-General Salah Al-Qenaei. Representatives from the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs and the General Sports Authority were also in attendance.

During the briefing, Al-Shaheen discussed the Federation’s preparations for the final match, the work plan for all committees involved, and the festival set to coincide with the final, featuring Al-Qadisiya and Al-Salmiya.
The Chairman expressed gratitude to all state ministries and participating government and private agencies for their role in organizing the final match.
Following the meeting, Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Hewaila conducted an inspection tour of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium to review the latest preparations.
