Assembly session to swear in ministers
KUWAIT CITY, March 29, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed on Monday hopes for fruitful cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities during Tuesday’s National Assembly session. His Highness the Amir also expressed his desire that the session would be held without tension to enable the cabinet – headed by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah – to swear oath in accordance with the constitution.
The government must be given the proper time to exercise its authorities and attend to its responsibilities especially during the current trying times, affirmed His Highness the Amir. His Highness the Amir said that cooperation between the executive and legislative branches was important for the country, adding that the law and rulings by the constitutional court were above all. He also stressed that article 50 of the constitution regarding the separation of duties among the authorities and cooperation amongst them was vital for the success of the Kuwaiti democratic process.
His Highness the Amir expressed confidence that MPs were up to task and will help the government to achieve the interest of people and maintain security and stability of Kuwait.
