Amir expresses sympathy with Iran over deadly quake

KUWAIT, Nov 8 (KUNA) — His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences on Friday to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the earthquake that happened in West Iran claiming a number of deaths and injuring many people.


His Highness the Amir, in the cable to President Rouhani, prayed for souls of the deceased, wished the injured quick recovery and hoped the Iranian officials would successfully tackle repercussions of this natural disaster.
Their Highnesses the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, respectively Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, addressed cables of identical content to the Iranian leadership.


The quake took place in West Iran at dawn today, claiming at least five lives and leaving scores of people injured or psychologically traumatized. (
