KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24(KUNA): His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, sent a congratulatory cable to Khaled Ali Al-Ghanim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Sports Club, on winning His Highness the Amir Cup after defeating Al-Arabi in the final.

In his message, His Highness praised the outstanding performance, exemplary sportsmanship, and high morale demonstrated by both teams during the final held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. He wished continued success to all teams, emphasizing their role in raising Kuwait’s sports standards and achieving greater accomplishments.

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, also sent a congratulatory cable to Al-Ghanim, commending the exceptional performance displayed by both teams. Meanwhile, His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, extended his congratulations to the Kuwait Club’s chairman on the victory.

Minister of Information and Culture and State Minister for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, affirmed that Kuwait’s sports community is honored by the patronage of His Highness the Amir and the presence of the Crown Prince at the Amir Cup final. Speaking at a press briefing, Al-Mutairi highlighted that this support reflects the political leadership’s continued interest in and encouragement of Kuwaiti athletes, motivating them to excel in national and international competitions.

Al-Mutairi emphasized that the leadership’s support inspires athletes to persist in giving their best, enhances Kuwait’s sports development, and empowers youth to actively contribute to the nation’s present and future.

He also congratulated Kuwait Sports Club on their Amir Cup triumph, commended Al-Arabi for securing second place, and praised the Kuwait Football Association for the excellent organization of the final and the enthusiastic public attendance that contributed to the event’s success.
