His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince
KUWAIT CITY, March 18: The Amiri Diwan on Wednesday relayed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to citizens and residents on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, wishing all good health and blissfulness. The Amiri Diwan congratulated His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on this occasion. It also extended its sincere congratulations to citizens and residents on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, expressing its best wishes for continued health and well-being for all.
The Diwan wished prosperity and blessings for Kuwait, as well as for the Arab and Islamic nations, and peace and stability for the international community, and wished continued security, stability, and prosperity for Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah received on Wednesday a telephone call from Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, congratulating him on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. During the call, the Omani Sultan expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes, praying to Allah Almighty to return the blessed occasion to both countries, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations, with goodness, prosperity, and blessings, and to bestow continued health and well-being upon His Highness the Amir.
Both sides also exchanged reassurances over the conditions of their two brotherly countries and peoples following the recent Iranian attacks that targeted Kuwaiti and Omani territories, reiterating their strong condemnation and denunciation of this blatant aggression, which constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of both countries, international law, and the Charter of the United Nations.
They affirmed their commitment to mobilizing all efforts to safeguard regional security and stability, stressing the need for an immediate halt to escalation and a return to dialogue and diplomatic solutions. His Highness the Amir expressed his appreciation to the Omani Sultan for his kind gesture, which reflects the deep-rooted relations between the two countries and peoples, reciprocating Eid greetings and wishing him continued health and wellness, and the Omani people further progress, growth and prosperity under his wise leadership.
Also on Wednesday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah a call from King of Jordan Abdullah II. During the call, King Abdullah conveyed his sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, wishing continued health and well-being to His Highness the Amir and expressing hopes for prosperity and blessings for both countries, as well as for the Arab and Islamic nations. The two sides also discussed the situation in their respective countries following the Iranian attacks that targeted the territories of Kuwait and Jordan.
They reaffirmed their strong condemnation of this aggression, describing it as a clear violation of the sovereignty of both states and of international law, including the Charter of the United Nations, and emphasized their commitment to safeguarding regional security and stability, underscoring the need for an immediate de-escalation and a return to dialogue and diplomatic solutions. His Highness expressed his appreciation to King Abdullah for the call, noting that it reflects the close relations between the two countries.
