American released without bail in drugs case

KUWAIT CITY, July 17: The detention renewal court released an American without bail. The American was accused of smuggling and consuming of hashish.

Representing the American was Attorney Hawraa Al-Habeeb, who argued that her client received a postal package containing 40 e-cigarettes. Afterwards, police raided his house and he was arrested without being told the reason. He was later accused of consuming and smuggling narcotics.

Al-Habeeb added the blood sample test on her client came out negative, indicating he is not responsible for a package delivered to him which even he did not order. She pointed out the possibility that the package was delivered to the wrong person.
