ALAFCO to lease 4 jets to Alitalia

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25 : Kuwait’s Aviation Lease & Finance Co (ALAFCO) said on Monday it has agreed to lease a quartet of Airbus aircraft to Italy’s state-owned carrier Alitalia for 12 years from the date of delivery, which is expected later this year.

The deal is a testament to growing global demand for ALAFCO’s aircraft despite the hardships thrust upon the aviation industry by the COVID pandemic, the company’s CEO Adel Al- Banwan said in a statement. He said Italy’s state-owned carrier represents a “valuable addition” to ALAFCO’s growing clientele, hailing the deal as a major feather in the company’s cap. (KUNA)
