KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: Al-Ula l Club will visit Kuwait Club tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Basketball Federation Hall in Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex, in the second round of Group B of the West Asia Gulf Super League.

Kuwait Club opened the tournament with a loss to Qatar’s Al-Arabi, while Al-Ula made a strong statement with a 108-74 win over UAE’s Sharjah, putting the home side under pressure to secure a direct semifinal spot.

Under the tournament format, group winners advance directly to the semifinals, while the second-placed team from one group faces the third-placed team from the other, competing for the remaining two semifinal slots.

Kuwait Club, the current Arab Clubs champions, boasts a talented lineup capable of clinching a direct semifinal berth. Key local players include brothers Hamad and Mohammed Adnan, Turki Hamoud, Alexander Al-Ghais, Imran Johar, Suho Al-Suho, Fahad Al-Dhafiri, Ali Al-Haddoud, and Yousef Al-Hamdan, complemented by their three foreign professionals: Americans Jamal Jones and Charlie Moore, and Frenchman Geoffrey Laverne.

Serbian coach Dushan Stojkov faces the challenge of managing the team effectively to secure a vital victory at a critical stage of the competition.
