Al-Sheikh tops boxing’s most influential figures

RIYADH, Sept. 13: Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and President of the Saudi Boxing Federation, has topped Boxing News magazine’s 2026 list of the 50 most influential figures in boxing for the third consecutive year.

The recognition highlights Al-Sheikh’s growing impact on the global boxing scene, particularly his role in staging major bouts, bringing the sport’s biggest stars together and forging partnerships with leading promoters and boxing organizations.

His involvement has also helped cement Riyadh’s status as a major destination for international boxing, attracting high-profile fights, leading fighters and fans from around the world, while boosting Riyadh Season’s profile on the global sports stage.

Founded in Britain in 1909, Boxing News is one of the world’s oldest specialist boxing magazines. Its annual BN50 ranks the figures considered to have the greatest influence on the sport.
