KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: The Sahara Resort Equestrian Championship competitions concluded the day before yesterday at the Sahara Resort in the Subhan area. Local club riders showcased their skills at the equestrian track, with Amer Al Shatti clinching first place in the sixth round at a height of 120 cm. Al Shatti completed the course in 71.69 seconds without incurring any penalty points, surpassing competitors such as Nick Channing, Stephen Dinellis, Armando Lovris, Saad Al-Sulaiman, and Fajr Al-Sabah.
In the fifth heat at 110 cm, Italian jockey Antonio Moroso secured the top position with a time of 33.62 seconds. The female jockey Fi Khulood claimed the first spot at a height of 100 cm, while Othman Al-Mutawa led in the third heat at a height of 90 cm.
Reflecting on the event, Sahara Resort's Equestrianism General Manager, Dalal Al-Obaid, expressed gratitude, stating, the tournament witnessed strong competition in all rounds, and the public attendance was substantial in Sahara. Everyone engaged enthusiastically with the tournament’s activities."
Al-Obaid also highlighted Sahara Resort's annual calendar, featuring both local and international tournaments held alternately with other equestrian clubs in Kuwait. These events cater to a diverse community of male and female horse enthusiasts, fostering a family-friendly sports atmosphere that benefits participants and spectators alike.
