Yarmouk player smashes the ball against Al-Nasr.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 26: Al-Shabab took the early lead in the 2025-2026 First Division Volleyball League after opening its campaign with a 3-0 victory over Al-Sahel in the first round, held Monday at the Kuwait Volleyball Association Hall in Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.

Al-Yarmouk also began the competition on a winning note, sweeping past Al-Nasr 3-0 to join Al-Shabab at the top of the standings. Al-Shabab, however, holds the advantage on set results, while Al-Nasr and Al-Sahel remain without points.

The second round is scheduled for Wednesday, with Al-Sahel taking on Al-Yarmouk at 5 pm before Al-Shabab meets Al-Nasr at 7 pm. Both matches will be played at the association’s hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.

Al-Shabab and Al-Yarmouk will seek to build on their winning starts and maintain their positions at the summit, while Al-Nasr and Al-Sahel look to recover from their opening losses and get their campaigns back on track.

The league will run through to the final on Sunday, November 8, when the 2025-2026 First Division champion will be crowned.
