KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: With the international break underway and the Arab Cup 2025 ongoing, local football clubs are using the pause to plan ahead and prepare for the resumption of the Zain Premier League. Several teams are organizing overseas training camps to maintain fitness and improve tactics during the break.

Most clubs gave players rest after the eighth round concluded last Sunday, with training set to resume next week.

Al-Shabab will travel to Dubai, UAE, for a training camp from December 1–15, featuring three friendly matches against Al Ain, Al Wahda, and Al-Akhdoud of Saudi Arabia. The team will also face Kuwait SC in a friendly on November 25. Other clubs are expected to follow a similar approach during the long break.

Kuwait Club, the defending league champion and current leader, will resume training on Sunday, after granting players rest following its 2-1 win over Kazma last week.

Al-Qadsia’s Algerian professional Victor Lekhal left to join his national team, while the club is considering a Gulf-based training camp at the end of November.

Kazma is unlikely to hold an overseas camp due to several players being away with the national team, Olympic squad, or Jordanian national team, in addition to two injured players.

Al-Salmiya will travel to Bahrain on November 25 for a training camp running until December 8, which will include three friendly matches.

In injury news, Al-Salmiya midfielder Ahmed Aidan will be sidelined for at least five months after suffering an ACL tear during the club’s match against Al-Fahaheel in the eighth round.
