Al-SAYER honors employee sports tournament winners

Winning teams and individual winners of 2018 Football and Cricket tournaments awarded

KUWAIT CITY, June 9: As part of its commitment towards society, ALSAYER Group Holding Corporate Excellence Department recently concluded 2018 Football and Cricket Tournaments for employees by organizing prize distribution ceremony for winning teams and participants from various business divisions. The ceremony which was held at ALSAYER Head Office Auditorium was attended by Faisal Al Sayer Chairman, Mohamed Naser Al Sayer Board Member along with Top Management Team, representatives from Corporate Excellence Department and participants of the tournament. Champions and individual winners of the Football Tournament were awarded in which 16 teams displayed thorough sportsmanship.

The First, Second and Third spots were secured by RC Cola, Finance and Human Resources Team respectively. Mohamed Gouda Awad from Toyota Alrai Service Garage won the Best Player Award and Wahid Said of Finance Department won the Best Goalkeeper Award. Eng Alaa Abu Zaur received a special award for being chosen as the Best Organizer. ALSAYER Corporate Team emerged as Champions of the 12 teams in the Cricket Tournament, meanwhile Group Sales Toyota Warehouse and Toyota Service Ghazali were the 1st and 2nd runners up respectively.

Individual Awards were distributed to Jassim Arshad of Bahrah for Best Batsman, Mohamed Soheil of Finance for Best Bowler and Mustansar Hassan of Group Spare Parts for Man of the Series. According to Eng Nehad Al-Haj Deputy Group Manager Corporate Excellence “We are committed towards the wellbeing of the employees by organizing such engaging sporting events to maintain the work life balance among colleagues.

This will also help to develop their interest in sports as a hobby off the work hours, with a purpose of the physical fitness in a sedentary life style.” Corporate Excellence thanked the Top Management for their continued support and the organizing committee of both tournaments for their efforts towards the successful completion of the sporting events.
