Al-Salmi Scrap Yard Fire Brought Under Control

KUWAIT CITY, June 14: The Kuwait Fire Force said six firefighting teams successfully brought under control a fire that broke out early Sunday at the Al-Na’ayem scrap yard in the Al-Salmi area, with no injuries reported.

In a statement, the force confirmed that teams from the Al-Shaqaya, Al-Jahra Industrial, Kazma, Al-Bida’, Al-Isnad, and Al-Istiqlal fire stations were dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving reports of the blaze.

Firefighters carried out coordinated operations to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading further within the scrap yard area. Authorities confirmed that the situation was fully brought under control after intensive efforts by the responding teams.

The Kuwait Fire Force added that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, and the site was secured following the completion of firefighting operations. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
