Al-Salmi, Amghara Crackdown:72 Violators Arrested in Security Sweep

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 6 : The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigation’s Operations Department, carried out a security campaign in the Al-Salmi scrap yard and Amghara areas as part of ongoing efforts to apprehend law violators, wanted individuals and enforce Kuwait’s laws.

The campaign resulted in the arrest and detention of several individuals involved in residency, labor and other violations. The authorities said the necessary legal procedures were taken against those apprehended before referring them to the competent authorities.

Violations and Cases Recorded

43 individuals were recorded as violating the Labor Law (Article 18) residency provisions.
22 individuals were apprehended for violating the Residency Law (Article 20).
3 individuals were apprehended after absconding reports were filed against them.
2 individuals were arrested in connection with two diesel theft cases.
2 street vendors were apprehended for violating regulations.
1 citizen was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant in a drug-related case.

The Ministry of Interior stressed that security campaigns will continue across different areas to apprehend wanted persons and violators and ensure compliance with Kuwait’s laws. The detainees were referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
