KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: Al-Sahel has named national coach Saud Dumaid as head coach of their first football team for the remainder of the season.

Dumaid takes over after former coach Ali Abdulredha stepped down, following the team's 3-2 defeat to Tadamon last Friday in the seventh round of the Zain Premier League.

The loss was Al-Sahel's fourth in the competition, leaving it on four points in 10th place in the standings.

Dumaid previously worked with Al-Sahel's youth teams and brings considerable coaching experience to the position.

He has already begun his duties and will make his official debut against league leaders Kuwait Club next Sunday in the eighth round of the competition.
