KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: Alaa Hamad Al-Roumi, owner of Al-Raya Stud, has praised the enthusiasm and support of breeders of purebred Arabian horses with Egyptian bloodlines for their continued backing of horse racing at the Kuwait Equestrian and Hunting Club. Through a weekly cup dedicated to Egyptian horses, organized in collaboration with the club’s management, the initiative has sparked strong competition among owners competing for top honors.

The upcoming Egyptian horse race at the club’s 14th meeting, scheduled for next Monday, will be sponsored by Al-Nawasi Stud owner Alam Ali Al-Kandari.

So far this season, up to the 13th meeting, several horses have stood out in the Egyptian Arabian races:

Shahin Al-Mughira, ridden by jockey Faisal Al-Farmawi, has secured three victories, winning the cups of Al-Safinat Stud (9th meeting), Iris Stud (10th meeting), and Al-Danat Stud (12th meeting).

Sahab has claimed first place twice, taking the cups of Al-Raya Stud (1st meeting) and Al-Nawader Stud (11th meeting).

Shamikh Al-Oseimi also won twice, with victories in the cups of Al-Muriyat Stud (2nd meeting) and Al-Shaya Stud (6th meeting).

Bukhayta Al-Ghnaim took home two cups, sponsored by Ajmal Stud and Al-Diwan Stud.

The season has highlighted the growing prominence of Egyptian-blood Arabian horses, with competitive races and dedicated support from breeders and sponsors alike, keeping the sport vibrant and exciting.
