Minister of Commerce and Acting State Minister for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan Tuesday affirmed the state’s keenness to sponsor Kuwaiti youths and improve their skills in sports in order for them to realize more achievements.
Al-Roudhan said this in a statement issued after receiving Kuwait’s athletics team who won two gold medals and a silver medal in the 21st Asian Men’s Championship held in India.
He urged the Public Authority for Sports to provide all the possible means for enabling the team to continue its march at the World Athletics Championships in London, hoping that this achievement will represent a new gateway for realizing more achievements.
On his part, the Deputy Director General for Financial and Administrative Affairs at Public Authority for Sports Jassim Al-Huwaidi affirmed that the authority will not hesitate in supporting talented youths and overcome all obstacles so that the name of Kuwait will shine and be raised high in all forums.
It is worth mentioning that Abdulaziz Al-Mandeel won a gold medal in 110-meter race, Ibrahim Al-Rumaidh won gold in the 800-meter race and Yaqoub Al-Youha won a silver medal in the 110-meter hurdle race. (KUNA)
