KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Rider Fawaz Al-Rashid captured the title of the Sahari International Show Jumping Championship, held at the Sahari Equestrian Resort, with strong participation from riders representing Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, India, Hungary, and Britain.
Al-Rashid claimed victory in the 145cm Grand Prix, ahead of Dalia Al-Zahim, Abdullah Al-Awadhi, Anaz Al-Anaz, Ali Al-Kharafi, Nick Channing, Abdulrahman Al-Fazaie, Antonio Morozzo, Khaled Al-Khabizi, Fawaz Al-Subaie, and Abdulrahman Al-Madhahka. The winners were crowned by Sheikh Sabah Badr Al-Sabah, Acting Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Hawalli, alongside Shaqer Al-Kazemi, Vice President of the Equestrian Federation, and Sheikh Sabah Ali Al-Sabah.
In other results, Nick Channing topped the Medium Grand Prix, Abdullah Al-Gharbally won the Small Grand Prix, and Misk Al-Marshoud claimed first place in the 110cm class.
The opening day also saw Anaz Al-Anaz take the Grand Prix, Aws Al-Tannak win the 130cm Medium Grand Prix, and Dalal Safar secure victory in the Small Grand Prix.
The championship was overseen by Waleed Al-Jassim and Sheikh Sabah Ali Al-Sabah, with Mohammed Al-Behbehani managing the stables. International judge Lama Abdel Aal provided expert commentary, while the judging panel was chaired by Nidar Al-Mustafa, with Raghad Al-Dabbous, Ibtisam Al-Arouri, and Ines Beigel as members.
