KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: Rashid Al-Rabah has ended his three-year spell with Qadsia basketball after his contract expired, closing an important chapter with the “Yellow” after playing a key role in the club’s success.

Al-Rabah leaves Qadsia with an impressive record, having contributed to several domestic and international titles during his time with the club. The experienced star is now considering several offers from local clubs as he prepares to choose his next destination for the upcoming season.

The move marks another step in a distinguished Kuwaiti basketball career. Before joining Qadsia, Al-Rabah enjoyed a successful spell with Kuwait Club, where he collected numerous domestic and overseas titles and established himself as an experienced and influential leader on the court.

His departure comes as Qadsia looks to reshape its basketball squad and bring in new faces ahead of the 2026-27 season. The club is targeting a competitive roster that can challenge for major domestic and international honors and return to the top of the podium.

Qadsia has already begun preparations by appointing Turkish coach Murat Dekmen as head coach for the new campaign. He replaces compatriot Andyak Baiser, who guided the team during the previous two seasons.

The team has also strengthened its foreign contingent by signing Americans Alfonso Wells and Wesley Alsegaier, as well as Senegalese forward Pape Boubacar Sarr.
