KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: Kuwait Volleyball Federation’s Competitions Committee has officially confirmed Al-Qadsia’s 3-0 win over Al-Yarmouk, overturning the previous 3-2 result from last Tuesday. The reversal came after Al-Yarmouk violated league rules by fielding professional and youth-born players simultaneously.

With the confirmed win, Al-Qadsia now sits atop the standings with 23 points, tied with Kuwait Club, though Kuwait Club leads on set points. Following it are Al-Qadsia (17), Al-Sulaibikhat 16, Al-Arabi 15, Burgan 11, and Al-Shabab 10. Al-Yarmouk has 5 points, while Al-Nasr and Al-Sahel remain at the bottom with zero points.

In other matches from the day before yesterday, Al-Qadsia dominated Al-Nasr 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-20), and Al-Qadsia also defeated Al-Shabab 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-17).

Today’s schedule features:

Al-Nasr vs Al-Yarmouk at 8:00 pm

Al-Shabab vs Al-Sulaibikhat at 10:00 pm

The top five clubs, Kuwait Club, Al-Qadsia, Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Arabi, and Al-Qadsia are now in the strongest position to qualify for the Premier League, with the final sixth spot contested between Burgan and Al-Shabab.

The federation has extended the player registration deadline to March 2, giving clubs additional time to register players for the league.
