KUWAIT CITY, Jan 3: Following the recent "Derby" match ending in a 2-2 draw, Al-Qadsia is in pursuit of a new coach for the remainder of the current season due to Coach Mohamed Ibrahim's health issues. Dissatisfaction with the match's lineup and substitutions prompted this decision.

Negotiations with foreign coaches are underway, with Croatian Ante Misha emerging as a leading candidate. The official announcement of the new coach is expected after the fourteenth round against Al-Nasr next Sunday.

In another development, negotiations with player Eid Al-Rashidi, seeking  110 thousand dinars per season, have hindered an agreement, leading to his absence against Al-Arabi.Assistant coach Hassan Fadel emphasized the importance of Badr Al-Mutawa's presence, explaining his second-half substitution to maintain physical fitness and infuse new energy into the team.

President Abdulaziz Ashour of Al-Arabi deemed the match result fair, praising both teams' strong performance. He advocated for foreign referees in crucial matches, citing the need for expertise.Al-Arabi player Sultan Al-Anazi apologized for participating with knee cartilage and muscle tears against medical advice, citing team needs in the absence of key players.
