KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: The upcoming Zain Premier League’s eleventh round kicks off tomorrow with a single match at Mohammed Al-Hamad Stadium. Al-Qadsia and Al-Jahra will face off in what promises to be an exciting encounter at 5:30 pm .

The league action continues on Sunday with a doubleheader. First up is the clash between Al-Fahaheel and Khaitan at the Friendship and Peace Stadium. Following that, Kuwait takes on Kazma at Thamer Stadium in the second match of the day. The round concludes on Monday with two more matches. Al-Arabi squares off against Al-Shabab at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium, while Al-Salmiyah travels to face Al-Nasr.

Al-Qadsia, currently with 22 points, aims to temporarily regain the lead it held in the last two rounds. However, Al-Arabi and Kuwait managed to surpass them each time. Coach Muhammad Ibrahim is optimistic about continuing the team’s positive streak, seeking a third consecutive victory. Despite facing the bottom-placed Al-Jahra (two points), Ibrahim acknowledges the challenge ahead.

Al-Qadsia goes into the  match without the suspended trio of Rashid Al-Dosari, Nayef Zuwaid, and Talal Al-Ansari, along with the injured professional Ibrahima Tandia. The team relies on key players such as Badr Al-Mutawa and Mohammed Khalil, who have been pivotal in controlling the midfield. Other standout players include Mohamed Sula, Daniel Gebula, Khaled Ibrahim, Eid Al-Rashidi, and Mubarak Al-Fanini. The team also welcomes back Youssef Ben Souda and Sergio Vitor.

Despite their position in the standings, Al-Jahra has displayed commendable performances, leaving an impression in previous matches. The team narrowly lost to Al-Qadsia in the first leg and showcased resilience against Kuwait in the last round, reducing the goal difference to one despite playing most of the match with ten players.
