Al-Qadsia halts Al-Salmiya’s winning streak in Handball Premier League

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23: Al-Qadsia ended the resurgence of Al-Salmiya, defeating it 28-25 at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex in Round 13 of the Premier Handball League. The round also saw Al-Sulaibikhat edge past Al-Nasr 31-29 in a closely contested match.

Al-Salmiya had won its previous two matches against Al-Nasr and Al-Qadsia, but its momentum was halted. The loss leaves it in sixth place with 12 points. Al-Qadsia moved up to fourth with 14 points, overtaking Al-Arabi and remaining just behind third-placed Al-Qadsia on goal difference. Al-Sulaibikhat climbed to seventh with nine points, while Al-Nasr remains at the bottom of the table with just two points.

Round 10 of the First Division continues today, with Al-Fahaheel taking on Al-Sahel at 8:00 pm, followed by Khaitan facing Al-Qurain at 10:00 pm.
