Al-Qadsia spikes as Al-Arabi moves in for the block.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: The Volleyball League continues today with two key matches at the Kuwait Volleyball Federation Hall in Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex. Al-Qadsia opens its campaign against Al-Shabab at 5:30 PM, followed by Al-Arabi facing Burgan at 7:30 PM.

The league format features a preliminary single round, with the top six teams advancing to the Premier Division, divided into three groups. The team with the most wins will claim the title, and the first-place team from the preliminary round carries one victory into the next stage as an advantage. Teams ranked seventh to tenth, along with the youth national team, compete in the First Division, also divided into three groups.

Al-Qadsia faces a tough challenge against a determined Al-Shabab, who impressed in the Federation Cup — the season’s first tournament — which Kuwait Club won over Al-Qadsia. Seeking redemption, Al-Qadsia aims for a strong league start under Serbian coach Snezha Reljic, relying on key players Rashid Anbar, Nasser Dashti, Abdulnasser Al-Anzi, and Brazilian professionals Alisson Melo and Caio Ribeiro.

Meanwhile, Burgan and Al-Arabi clash in the evening match, both teams eager to make an early impact and set the tone for a competitive season.
