KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: Al-Qadsia claimed a dramatic victory in the 11th round of the Federation Championship at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. The team defeated Kuwait Club 3-1 in sets (20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-21), achieving two key objectives: avenging last season’s Federation Cup final loss to Kuwait Club and climbing the league standings from fourth to third place with 11 points, just behind second-placed Kuwait Club and ahead of Al-Shabab in fourth on set difference.

In the same round, Kazma defeated Al-Shabab 3-0 in sets (25-23, 29-27, 25-22), taking the top spot in the Federation Championship standings with 14 points after previously holding second place.

Round 12 saw Al-Yarmouk face Burgan, while Al-Sulaibikhat played Al-Arabi.

Six rounds remain in the championship. At the end of the preliminary stage, the first-place team will face the fourth-place team in the semifinals, and the second-place team will play the third-place team. The winners of these semifinals will advance to the final, scheduled for October 30.

Notably, Kazma are the defending champions, having defeated Kuwait Club in last season’s Federation Championship final.
