Al-Qadsia coach Maaloul praises team progress, vows to fix minor errors

ABU DHABI, Feb 15: Al-Qadsia conducted its first training session yesterday at Al-Qatara Stadium in the UAE, preparing for its upcoming match against Al-Ain in the sixth and final round of Group A in the Gulf Clubs Champions League, following the team’s arrival on Saturday evening.

The third-placed Al-Qadsia, with 7 points, must win to secure a spot in the semifinals, while second-placed Al-Ain, with 9 points, only needs a draw to advance. The Iraqi side, Zakho, has already qualified, leading the group with 10 points.

Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul expressed satisfaction with the team’s recent progress, noting steady performance improvement. He added, “We need to correct a few minor errors, which we will address in the coming daysMaaloul also highlighted that Al-Qadsia is competing for three remaining trophies this season and assured that the team will give its all to contend for these titles.

Bahraini midfielder Mahdi Hamidan urged the “Yellow” fans to rally behind the team, emphasizing that their support is crucial in achieving the desired results.

Promising young player Abdullah Al-Ghaniman pledged both a strong performance and a positive result, hoping to help the team reach the semifinals.

Meanwhile, professional player Nyscans Kipano expressed his pride in playing for Al-Qadsia in front of what he described as the best fans in Kuwait.
