KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Al-Qadsia Club regained its momentum after a recent setback, narrowly defeating Kazma 21-20 in a tough match in the 10th round of the Handball Premier League at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex Hall. In the same round, defending champions Kuwait Club overcame Al-Salmiya 35-27.
Following these results, Al-Qadsia moved up to fourth place with 10 points, tied on goal difference with third-placed Burgan. Meanwhile, Kuwait Club maintained its position at the top of the Premier Handball League standings with a perfect 20 points. Kazma remains second with 13 points, while Al-Salmiya dropped to seventh place with six points.
The 11th round begins next Saturday, with Al-Nasr facing Al-Salmiya and Al-Qadsia taking on Al-Arabi. On Sunday, Al-Sulaibikhat will meet Burgan, while Kuwait Club faces Kazma.
In the First Division Handball League, Yarmouk will play Qurain at 5:00 p.m., followed by Fahaheel against Khaitan at 7:00 p.m.
Khaitan leads the First Division standings with 12 points, followed by Burgan with 10, Yarmouk with seven, the Youth National Team with five, Fahaheel with four, and Al-Sahel at the bottom with no points.
