Al-Qadisiya strengthens squad with Fawaz signing

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: Al-Qadisiya has finalized the addition of Omani midfielder Abdullah Fawaz as the fifth foreign player in the team, following the dismissal of Ghanaian Sarfo Kingsley for violating competition regulations due to an ethical case.

The team underwent a last-minute change in negotiations, extending an official offer to Jordanian national team player Nizar Al-Rashdan and engaging in talks with Moroccan professional Zakaria Al-Wardi. Ultimately, they settled on Omani international Abdullah Fawaz, a key addition to the team’s lineup.

The Premier League’s winter transfer market saw several moves before the deadline, with Kuwait Club securing the services of Congolese duo Guy Mbienza and Arsene Zola in place of injured Tunisian Yassine Al-Khanisi and Bilal Al-Aifa.

Al-Salmiya made noteworthy signings, including Libyan Senussi Al-Hadi, a former Al-Arabi club player, and Austrian Srdan Spirdunovich from Hajer Al-Saudi. This move involved releasing Senegalese Cesar and Ghanaian Abudou Issaka from the team.Al-Arabi underwent changes, bringing in Tunisian Ayman Sfaxien and Algerian Imad Eddine Boubacar to replace Senegalese Mamadou Thiam and Algerian Sofiane Bouchard.

Al-Shabab secured three deals, including Estonian Bogdan Vastsuk, Tunisian Youssef Bensouda, and compatriot Bilal Al-Aifa.Al-Fahaheel and Kazma each signed a single professional contract, with Orange adding Nigerian Benjamin Teddy, while Al-Fahaheel contracted with Syrian Nasouh Nakdali.Khaitan signed a deal with Senegalese Othman Fallon and also brought in Fahd Al-Rashidi from Yarmouk in a local deal.

In contrast, Al-Nasr and Al-Jahra refrained from significant signings, with Al-Annabi showing confidence in their existing professionals and the people of the “Red Palace” facing administrative complications that hindered their involvement in the contracting race.
