Al-Qadisiya secures an impressive victory over Al-Salmiya in the Zain Premier League

KUWAIT CITY, March 13: In a thrilling encounter at Mohammed Al-Hamad Stadium, Al-Qadisiya clinched a significant win against Al-Salmiya with a final score of 4-2. The match held the day before yesterday as part of the inaugural round of the “League of Six” championship group in the Zain Premier League, witnessed intense action from both sides.

Al-Salmiya took the lead with a goal from Libyan player Senussi Al-Hadi just twenty minutes into the match. However, Al-Qadisiyah turned the tables with an impressive display, scoring four goals through Malian striker Ibrahima Tandia (43rd minute), Eid Al-Rashidi (51st minute), Badr Al-Mutawa (67th minute), and Mubarak Al-Fanini (88th minute). Al-Salmiya managed to pull one back with a late goal from Abdul Mohsen Al-Turkmani in injury time (90+1).

With this victory, Al-Qadisiya’s points tally rises to 42, putting them level with the runner-up Al-Arabi. On the other hand, Al-Salmiya’s point accumulation halted at 24 after suffering their third consecutive defeat.

Reflecting on the match, Al-Qadisiya coach Dr. Muhammad Al-Mishaan praised his team’s resilience in overcoming a tough opponent. He acknowledged the challenges posed by Al-Salmiya and highlighted the importance of securing the three points in the face of fierce competition.

Midfielder Abdulaziz Wadi expressed the team’s commitment to maintaining their performance throughout the remainder of the league. He described the victory as crucial and emphasized the implementation of training strategies for scoring goals, as demonstrated by Badr Al-Mutawa’s successful execution during the match.
