KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: Al-Qadisiya has mutually agreed to terminate the contract of its coach, Mohammed Al-Mishaan, effective yesterday. The club is now considering three Tunisian coaches as potential replacements: Qais Al-Yaqoubi, Nabil Al-Kouki, and Mondher Al-Kabeer. Al-Kouki was previously a candidate for the coaching position at Kazma but was ultimately passed over in favor of his compatriot, Saad Al-Shabi.

Al-Mishaan is the second coach to leave during the current Zain Premier League season, following the resignation of Kazma's coach, Mohammed Dahilis, who was replaced by Al-Shabi. Al-Qadisiya has expressed its gratitude to Al-Mishaan for his tenure, which included winning the Amir Cup last season, and wished him success in his future coaching endeavors. The club indicated that the decision to part ways was mutual, though no specific reasons were given.

The team's performance in the Zain League has been inconsistent. It began the season with a narrow defeat to Kuwait Club, followed by a hard-fought victory over Al-Yarmouk, and then a loss to Al-Arabi. This uneven performance has led to criticism from fans, who are urging the board to take action to "rescue" the team. Compounding the situation, Al-Qadisiya also suffered a defeat to Al-Sahel in a recent friendly match.

Al-Mishaan took over at Al-Qadisiya midway through last season, coming from Al-Salmiya after the departure of coach Muhammad Ibrahim, who left for treatment in London. Additionally, fans have expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of some foreign players and are calling for the signing of high-quality professionals before the summer transfer window closes on September 20.
