Al-Qadisiya finishes sixth in the second West Asian Volleyball Championship

MUSCAT , Feb 11: Al-Qadisiya Club’s volleyball team secured the sixth position at the conclusion of the Second West Asian Volleyball Championship held in the Omani city of Sohar. In the match to determine the fifth and sixth places, they faced a defeat yesterday against Al-Seeb of Oman in three clean rounds. The contest took place in the main hall of the “Sohar” Sports Complex as part of the competitions to determine rankings from fifth to eighth in the tournament, which featured 10 participating teams. The championship concluded with the final match between Al-Kuwait and Al-Rayyan of Qatar.
Al-Seeb of Oman claimed the fifth spot, while Sohar of Oman secured the seventh place after defeating Baniyas of the Emirates, who settled for eighth place. Al-Ibtisam of Saudi Arabia clinched the ninth position by winning against Shabab Al-Hussein of Jordan, resulting in the Jordanian team finishing in tenth place.
Notably, in the previous edition of the tournament held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, last year, Al-Rayyan of Qatar emerged as the champions, with “Al-Kuwait” as the runner-up, and “Al-Shorta” of Qatar securing the third position.
