MILAN, Sept 1 (KUNA): Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federation President Dajeej Al-Otaibi, who also heads Kuwait’s shooting delegation, praised the strong performance of the country’s shooters at the Grand Prix in Italy.

Al-Otaibi singled out Kuwaiti shooter Talal Al-Turqi after he claimed first place in the trap shooting event at the tournament organized by the Italian Shooting Federation. The competition brought together 740 male and female shooters from several countries.

He said Kuwait’s national team completed its participation in the Nando Rossi Flying Target Grand Prix in Italy, following a training camp held as part of preparations for the upcoming Asian Games in Japan in September.

Al-Otaibi said Kuwait’s shooters delivered an impressive showing, with Al-Turqi’s victory highlighting their quality and competitiveness. The Kuwaiti shooter was honored by the International Shooting Federation President, Senator Luciano, and the Italian firearms manufacturer Beretta.

The achievement, Al-Otaibi added, underlined the growing stature and capabilities of Kuwaiti shooters on the international stage.

He also expressed his appreciation to the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tareq Al-Jalhama, and the Public Authority for Youth and Sports Director General, Bashar Abdullah, for their continued support of Kuwaiti shooting.
