KUWAIT CITY, June 2: Kuwait Shooting Federation President Eng. Duaij Al-Otaibi praised the achievements of Kuwaiti shooters who competed in the recent Gulf Games held in Doha, Qatar, where they collected a total of 10 medals—four gold, four silver, and two bronze.
Speaking during a ceremony organized by the federation to honor the medal winners, Al-Otaibi said the national shooters delivered strong performances despite limited numbers and insufficient preparation time ahead of the competition.
He noted that the athletes showed great determination in overcoming difficult circumstances, stressing that their results reflect the continued strength and competitiveness of Kuwait’s shooting sport on the regional and international stage.
Al-Otaibi also expressed his gratitude to Minister of State for Youth Affairs Dr. Tareq Al-Jalhem, Kuwait Olympic Committee President Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sport Bashar Abdullah, and all supporting institutions that contributed to the team’s participation.
He further thanked the State of Qatar for its hospitality and excellent organization of the Gulf Games.
