Al-Mulla stable representatives receive recognition.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: Mukafih of Al-Nawader Stable emerged victorious in the late Mohammed Safah Al-Mulla Local Production Cup after a highly competitive race over 1,400 meters, clocking a winning time of 1:29.45. The race was part of the 13th horse-racing meeting held at the Hunting and Equestrian Club.

The cup was handed over to the winners by jockey Abdulkarim Mohammed Safah Al-Mulla, while Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser, Chairman of the Higher Authority for Horse Racing and Secretary-General of the Hunting and Equestrian Club, presented a commemorative shield to the leaders of Al-Mulla Stable.

Speaking after the race, Abdulkarim Al-Mulla said his deep passion for equestrian sport stems from his grandfather, the honorary president and head of Al-Mulla Stable, Safah Abdulkarim Nasser Al-Mulla. He recalled accompanying his grandfather and father at the historic Al-Mulla Stable during the Iraqi invasion, stressing that the stable is among Kuwait’s oldest and played a key role in establishing the country’s equestrian heritage.

He added that horse racing remains a cherished family pursuit, describing equestrian sport as both enjoyable and inspiring. Al-Mulla noted that he represents the third generation at the stable, following his grandfather and father, and that the family continues to pass its love for horses from one generation to the next, supported by his uncles, retired Major General Abdullah Safah Al-Mulla and Mahmoud Al-Mulla.
