Al-Nasser takes weightlifting bronze in Greece

ATHENS, Sept. 23: Kuwaiti weightlifter Mohammed Al-Nasser claimed the bronze medal at the World Masters Weightlifting Championships in Athens, Greece, adding another international achievement to his record.

The championship has attracted more than 1,520 athletes from 76 countries, making it one of the biggest editions in the history of Masters weightlifting.

Al-Nasser said he was proud to represent Kuwait and raise the national flag on the international stage. He entered the competition aiming for gold, but the strong field and narrow differences in the overall standings saw him settle for third place.

He pledged to work harder and return stronger in future competitions, promising to challenge for the top spot in upcoming championships.
