ABU DHABI, June 9: Promising Kuwaiti karateka Nasser Al-Nasser delivered a stellar performance to win first place and the gold medal at the Dubai International Professional Championship for juniors and youth, currently underway in the United Arab Emirates with participation from 35 countries.
Representing Kuwait’s national Kyokushin Karate team, Al-Nasser showcased remarkable skill and determination, defeating top contenders from Kazakhstan in the semifinals and Armenia in the final, securing the title with a knockout victory.
Al-Nasser dedicated his win to Kuwait’s political leadership and the Kuwaiti people, expressing pride in raising the nation's flag on the international stage. He affirmed his continued commitment to winning more championships in upcoming international events.
He extended heartfelt thanks to national coach Al-Shihan Abdullah Al-Mutawaq and fitness coach Yousef Al-Baqsami, crediting their guidance and preparation strategies for his success. Al-Nasser emphasized their essential role in developing his skills and helping him reach peak performance ahead of the tournament.
