KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: Al-Nasr claimed its first victory of the current Premier Handball League season with a hard-fought 31-29 win over Al-Sulaibikhat in the sixth round. The match took place at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex, which also witnessed Qadsia narrowly defeating Al-Salmiya 31-30.
The win earned Al-Nasr its first two points of the season after five consecutive losses. However, despite the victory, the team remained at the bottom of the league standings.
Before yesterday’s matches, the league table stood as follows: Kuwait Club led with a perfect 10 points, followed by Burgan with 8 points. Qadsia and Al-Salmiya had 6 points each, Kazma 5, Al-Arabi 4, Al-Sulaibikhat 3, and Al-Nasr 2 points.
The seventh round is set for Friday and Saturday, featuring Al-Arabi vs. Al-Salmiya, Qadsia vs. Al-Sulaibikhat, Kazma vs. Al-Nasr, and Kuwait Club vs. Burgan.
