KUWAIT CITY, July 18: Al Nasr’s board of directors has decided to retain Mohammed Al-Daihani as manager of the first-team volleyball squad, rewarding his efforts and contributions over the past years.
The club praised Al-Daihani’s important role in advancing volleyball at Al Nasr, pointing to his effective administrative work that has helped raise the team’s level and strengthen its competitiveness in domestic tournaments.
The board expressed its confidence in Al-Daihani’s ability to continue achieving success with the “Al-Anabi” and wished him the best for the upcoming season.
Al-Daihani thanked the club’s board and volleyball department for their continued trust, saying that preparations for the new campaign will be carried out with a different approach. He added that the backing of the club’s management and technical staff will help the team make a strong impression.
Meanwhile, action at the second West Asia Men’s Volleyball Championship in Muscat, Oman, takes a one-day break today after three rounds of preliminary matches.
Kuwait’s national volleyball team made a winning start to the tournament, defeating Syria 3-0 in Group A before taking on Qatar yesterday.
The competition resumes tomorrow with the fifth-place playoff and semi-final matches, while the championship final is scheduled for July 21.
