KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: Al-Nasr's planned training camp in Cairo, Egypt, set to begin today, has been canceled due to complications preventing coach Dhaher Al-Adwani and several players from traveling. The cancellation results from ongoing administrative issues that Al-Nasr has faced since last season, which had already delayed their preseason preparations. Although the Public Sports Authority approved the camp earlier this week, logistical problems led to its abrupt cancellation. "Al-Annabi" has secured only 3 points from the past three rounds and aims to adequately prepare for its upcoming match against Kuwait Club on September 14.
Coach Dhaher Al-Adwani expressed dissatisfaction with the team's recent performance, attributing the lackluster results to insufficient preparation and the club’s challenging circumstances. "We’ve experienced two defeats and one win due to inadequate preparation," Al-Adwani noted. Despite a strong performance against Al-Salmiya, which ended in a 1-3 loss, and an unexpected defeat to Khaitan, the team managed a win against Kazma, showing some improvement. Al-Adwani highlighted that the team's fluctuating performance in the early rounds was due to poor preparation and delays in integrating both foreign and local players. He remains hopeful for improved results in the upcoming rounds.
Additionally, Al-Adwani mentioned the absence of Dominican professional Carlos Ventura, who is currently with his national team, and Salman Burmiah's involvement with the Blues, who are preparing for qualifiers. He stressed the need for the team to be in optimal condition before league matches resume. Goalkeeper Khaled Al-Ajaji acknowledged that despite the team's challenging start; it played well under the circumstances. He emphasized that while the external camp's cancellation was regrettable, the main issue was the team's lack of physical fitness in the early rounds.
