KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: In the fourth round of the Kuwaiti Premier Football League (Zain League) for the 2023-2024 season, Al-Nasr Club secured a decisive victory over Khaitan with a final score of 2-0. Meanwhile, the match between Al-Jahra and Al-Fahaheel ended in a goalless draw.

At Abdullah Al-Khalifa Stadium, Al-Nasr clinched a crucial win against Khaitan on Friday, with the league's top scorer, Zapata, finding the net in the 92nd minute for the first goal. Abdul Rahman Al-Rashidi sealed the victory with a goal in the 95th minute. This match was hotly contested due to the significance of securing three points, temporarily propelling the victors into the second position in the league standings, just behind the leaders Kuwait, with a total of seven points. Khaitan, on the other hand, maintained their position with four points, settling in sixth place.

In the second match at Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium, both Al-Jahra and Al-Fahaheel teams aimed to secure three points to improve their standings in the league. They adopted organized tactics and solid defenses to avoid losing points. Ultimately, the match ended in a 0-0 draw, with each team earning one point.

Following this result, Al-Jahra secured their first point of the season after three consecutive defeats, placing them in the last position. Al-Fahaheel remained in the second-to-last position with two points.

The round of matches will conclude on Saturday with the highly anticipated "Summit" match between Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Arabi at Jaber Stadium, while Al-Shabab hosts their Kuwaiti counterpart. (KUNA)
