KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, congratulated Kuwait’s soccer team on securing a spot in the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, to be held in Doha, Qatar, from December 1 to 18.

Minister Al-Mutairi praised the team’s outstanding 2-0 victory over Mauritania, which clinched their qualification, delighting fans across Kuwait. He also commended the Kuwait Football Association and the national team’s technical and administrative staff for their exceptional efforts in preparing the players for this major FIFA tournament.

“The Kuwaiti sports sector enjoys strong support from the nation’s leadership, and we look forward to even greater achievements in upcoming competitions,” Minister Al-Mutairi stated.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Football Association Chairman Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah extended heartfelt congratulations to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and to the people and government of Kuwait on the national team’s success.

Sheikh Al-Yousef also thanked Kuwaiti fans for their unwavering support, calling them “number one,” and expressed appreciation for the players, coaching staff, and team management for their role in achieving this milestone.
